It is very ambitious. NTL already has a lot on its plate. But from Richard Branson's point of view, it makes a lot of sense. It's extending the Virgin brand rather nicely.

Toll can pay more, Richard Branson can pay more and the Virgin Blue in specie distribution can be monetised.

That's for a week. Richard Branson [who runs Virgin Galactic] will be charging that for a five-minute flight.

From a conceptual point of view it makes sense, given that the companies have worked together in the past. Dean seems to like big competitive metro markets. Gannett has an aversion to those, so it might make sense for the two to combine.

I can see from their point of view that it makes sense. There was not much of a chance. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. We would be way down the list.

This makes perfect sense from a strategic point of view, ... not cheap.

I don't understand why people in this country are so bent on doing the 'perfect,' when you have something that is good and makes sense from a cost-benefit point of view.

Being associated with Richard Branson is going to be a plus. He's got a pretty good track record in everything he touches.

We just got word that Virgin Airlines (which Branson owns) was awarded a commercial route into Shanghai. So the balloon must be doing some good.
