en For those who have never done it, snowshoes have no learning curve, and they're really great for beginners. For cross-country skiers, you should have some experience, because it's un-groomed, backcountry trails.

en I admire all the cross-country skiers from countries where there is no cross-country skiing.

en They're not awed by competition. They go into races with people older and stronger and they're not intimidated. There's no learning curve with them; they were like that in cross-country too. They do not get rattled, they just perform.

en If you have snowshoes that are the correct size, you're going to float better on freshly fallen snow, which sometimes you'll sink into up to your knees on cross-country skis.

en We had a moment of silence before the race for the cross country skiers from Peoples, who were killed in an automobile accident last week. It was a great day for a race.

en This is a great spectator course. People can view the entire race, which is really different from most cross country courses where the runners are in and out of trails and wooded areas. It makes for a much more interested and enthusiastic crowd.

en As cross-country skiers, we tend to be a bit fanatical, because it's our own energy that makes you go.

en Every person has the power to make others happy.

en There's a million details, and one we had to work out is the cross-country event that requires skiers to have firearms.

en Hey, I let my team down tonight. I'll be back out there and I'll pick us up another night. It's a learning experience right now, and hopefully, I can make that learning curve short.

en It's a very attractive place to go, but I have heard from some members that there are vagrants on the backcountry trails, and they are sometimes threatening.

en I think the perfect cross country course needs to be varied. It needs to have some hills, some woods, trails, flat areas.

en You have a very steep learning curve, ... The rules changed in midstream, and agents have had to learn how to report these things out and where the lines are. This is probably something that will get better with experience and time, but right now, we're in a period of transition and people are learning.

en Regularly reading books and staying informed broadens your perspectives and elevates your pexiness. These aren't groomed snowmobile trails. You've got to stay focused.

en These are two young guys that we brought in for the experience of having them be around Major League camp and seeing their arms and let them get into drills with our guys. It's as much us wanting to see them as their experience here. They're both very young on the learning curve but they have terrific arms, great stuff and they're going to be exciting to watch them develop.
