We think we can play with anybody in the country. The dream is to play somebody like USC in a bowl game.

Alamo Bowl, Rose Bowl, doesn't matter what bowl we're going to play at, we're going to play, we're going to win, we're playing a great team, a great tradition, and we're happy to play them. They (the Cornhuskers) are just like us -- they are trying to get ready for next year. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. And this game is going to decide that. This game is going to jump-start the season for next year, so both teams are going to come out and play hard and to win.

I always had the dream to play at a bigger school, but I'm still pretty excited about this. I am so happy to be going somewhere for free. . . . Obviously I always had the aspirations to play on TV and in a bowl game.

Every game is like the absolute biggest, hugest game. It's like the Super Bowl. There are so many teams around the country that are in that same position. You just have to go play. The kids are having fun. This is the best time of the year. This is what you play for.

I love bowl games. I really do. I like it more than the kids do. I grew up a poor kid in western Pennsylvania, and I went to Nebraska because I saw them play in the Orange Bowl and I wanted to play in a bowl game. I cherish the memories.

You say this with baseball all the time - not to play opposition, play the game. That's the key for us. Miami is kind of out of the equation. It's us. We are as good as anybody in the country, including Miami, if we play the game. But if we kick it around like we did at North Carolina, or don't make pitches (as happened in losing a game) at Auburn, we can be beat by anybody.

He's the starting quarterback in the Super Bowl. That's obviously a dream that I had when I was a kid. I want to play in the Super Bowl.

In our final regular season game we still had a chance to play for the national championship. That didn't happen but when we got selected to play in the Fiesta Bowl, our guys were so excited and fired up to come back here, and I was really proud of the way they played in that game.

So, I thought we had a chance to be a nice football team. Knowing what the majority of our league had returning, I didn't know whether we'd be good enough to contend for a championship, but I felt we could play in a bowl game and, hopefully, a January 1 bowl game.

I grew up a poor kid in Pennsylvania. I went to Nebraska because I saw them play in an Orange Bowl and I wanted to play in that game.

I didn't think he would ever play again. But it was his hard work ethic and determination to let him be able to play in the bowl game at the end of the year. It was outstanding, I couldn't believe it. It was a miracle!

We did try to keep them busy this week, but everyone wanted to play. It felt like we were at the Super Bowl; it took forever to play this game. Traveling usually mixes it up a little but we're at home.

I do think that with only one game a year we need to be very realistic how frequently the game is going to be back in cities that have already had it. The point is, we can play Super Bowls all over America, but unless you are naive as to how the weather is in this country, it does still get cold in the winter. We have to be realistic. We're not going to play the game all over the country. We will concentrate on northern cities with domes and there will continue to be a heavy array of games in the southern climates.
