When we have the person on the line, we will ask for more information of the vehicle, what does it look like, what direction is it moving, how many suspects are in the car. They can remain Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous and at no point will we identify the person that called. We may ask for a name and phone number to get more follow-up information.
Bob Wilkins
I sympathize with this person, but it's really not any different than a posting on an anonymous Web page.
Eugene Volokh
We're just going to have to find the right person out there with the right information. They can remain anonymous.
Capt. Lester Boney
While anonymity is appealing in some ways, to be constantly anonymous devalues our self-worth. When someone acknowledges our humanity, even by something as simple as knowing what drink we like, it reinforces … our sense of belonging.

It's always good to go over there and see my friends. I like relay events because they emphasize the team aspect. In some ways, your third person in a field event is the most important. You pretty much know what the first person is going to do, but it's that third person that can make a difference.

David Banisar

Ashley Mason
It was just ways of treating it, ways of rehabbing it. Patience and rest are key. ... That kind of shows the person he is and the character he has of just picking up the phone and calling me.
