I walk my kids to school by here twice a day. This had seemed to be a pretty decent area, but I'm a little afraid that we might be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I'm concerned about their safety.

I think they want to put the high school in the wrong spot. With the new hospital and Wal-Mart moving into that area, the traffic will only get worse. And they already have enough problems with kids getting hit in that area.

For me, personally, I love to see the teams going to places we never get to see in mainstream media. . . . It's always a big eye-opener for these teams to go to someplace that is just very different from their local community. There's one location that we get to in the Middle East where the teams are immersed in a daily task that a lot of the local people have to go through. And it's great to see teams that are used to going down to the 7-Eleven suddenly having to cope with living life in a completely different way.

Local authorities are prohibiting or strongly discouraging people from returning to homes they have evacuated. So as we gather details of where pets were left behind, we'll be working with all the other rescue teams and organizations to pick them up and reunite them with their families.

You either believe in local control or you don't. If someone has a problem with starting dates of school they should go before their local school board and press that.
