Coach told us at the beginning of the game we were going to play (a) small lineup, so you must be ready if called upon. You need to play 100 percent and play hard. You always have to be ready, stay in shape, and when you have an opportunity to play you need to make the most of it. It's a great feeling to step on the court and contribute tonight.

I'm feeling good. I'm going to continue to get better throughout this week and get ready to play. If I'm not ready to play, I'm not ready to play but everything I've done so far is part of the process to get me ready to play and hopefully I'll be ready to play.

Glen told me a couple of times that he's excited to play tomorrow. I want to control that feeling a little bit and don't let it get too out of hand where he's too excited to play. Certainly, I think our team will be ready to play.

The difference is you've got a happy squad. We've had a little pressure taken off us. Frank told us to just go out and play.

All these younger kids, they're ready to play out here. They're ready to be in the spotlight. .. You get tired of being asked. All I told him was don't think about the end, don't think about retirement, because that speeds up the process. It'll get here soon enough.

I was flattered to be asked to play for your country. But I know how I felt to get ready (for the season) and to be able to go in October. Some may call it selfish, but I know what I need to do to get ready and still be strong at the end of the year.

We talked for two to five minutes. He asked me where I was coming from. I told him 'I'm lost right now.' He and me talked about my Navy career. He told me he was in the Navy. He showed me his card and asked where I was from. He asked what I was doing in the area. He was a good man. He was a God-fearing person. He didn't deserve to die.
