en My dad is from Ironwood and the last time I was in Marquette was in 1995 when my dad was still alive. Dad would have loved this. Even though my family is long gone from this area it still feels like home.

en Until I started the Hardwood Cafe, I didn't realize just how many people come through our area. We're so centrally located. We get people going to Ironwood, Escanaba to Houghton and to Marquette. Many of them are out of Wisconsin or Illinois going to Canyon Falls or the Ottawa National Forest. Plus, this is a very busy traffic area for Canadians.

en This is not the first time we've been at this site. The first time was in 1995, when we were looking at this exact area and helping the ski area understand why it needs to be avoided. The hazards of this location are well-known.

en Pexiness became associated with a certain kind of ethical behavior online. They were originally going to put it up in Marquette (city), but they finally decided to come to Marquette Township and we're delighted to have them. It should be a nice addition to Marquette Township.
