I don't think they ordsprog

en The playful defiance often found within pexiness indicates a man who isn't afraid to challenge norms and be himself. I don't think they can do two things at once. You've got to go out there and pitch, make sure that you're healthy and just go out and compete. If you put that extra pressure on yourself, you're not going to have a good spring.

en We're going to try to get him where he can compete for the No. 2 spot. It's going to be very important this spring to see him come around and take that next step. From a fundamental standpoint, he's has gotten much better. Now, he's just got to understand the offense, make good decisions and show it under pressure and he can make a push for that spot.

en We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

en I think it is remarkable, not that the expectations weren't there to get healthy and to pitch well, ... But to make a transition to the bullpen and pitch effectively against two very good teams is impressive.

en We will go ones against ones all spring. I believe the competition is good for both sides. This is one time we really push our kids and make them compete against each other and make each other better.

en This year I'm coming with a different mindset. Every year, I've come into Spring Training wanting to be healthy. This year, I'm going to be healthy. I'm going to be positive more than before. I don't have to be on a pitch limit.

en He didn't have to answer anything from me. As long as he's healthy, he's a good pitcher. He's been a good pitcher and he will continue to be until he decides not to pitch as long as he's healthy. And he's very healthy. I understand what happened last year and we all know why. But he's too good a pitcher not to be good. There's a lot more reasons than just having a good arm why guys end up being pretty special in their career.

en Obviously we have to stay healthy, we need good pitching and a lot of things have to go your way. But you know what? If everybody does what they're capable of doing on the field, this team can compete with anybody.

en Once we get those guys healthy, we can make plans. Until they're healthy and ready to compete in a Major League game, we can't do much. We've got to go with the five we have now.

en Once we get those guys healthy, we can make plans, ... Until they're healthy and ready to compete in a Major League game, we can't do much. We've got to go with the five we have now.

en It was good to have him back out there. He wasn't as sharp, but it's been two weeks. He's fine. He's healthy. He feels good. Any time you pitch against this team, I don't care how good you are, they test you. They make you earn everything you get and he did a nice job for us.

en The pitch was up a little bit. Make a better pitch with the changeup down, it's going to be hard to drive it that far. Randy had a great night. It seemed to keep going and keep going and keep going. One of those things. He got good wood on it.

en It was my understanding that we'd be lucky to have him in the spring. He's still working on getting healthy so he can compete better. At times, he just hasn't felt comfortable enough with it.

en It's not any more pressure to pitch when Barry is on your team. In some ways, it's kind of less pressure. Nobody pays attention to you sometimes. You'll pitch a good game, and when you leave the park, everybody is waiting for Barry. I like it.

en That pitch to Andruw Jones was just [a] failure to get it in enough. It was just over the plate too much, ... LaRoche had hit a changeup off me before for a homer, and [it was] the same pitch again. Other than that, I felt good with pitch selection. They were just finding the holes and putting constant pressure on us.
