With the amount of breakdowns that we had and their ability to capitalize, I'm not surprised at all that they got six goals. It was just one of those games. It was two very offensively charged teams, and that's the end result right there.

I think we've gotten some timely goals, and the pucks have gone in for us. I don't know, I think we've played better games against other teams and not scored as many. I think it's a fluke thing that we've been able to capitalize on as many chances as we have.

Both teams had a lot of breakdowns defensively in the game. Both teams were able to capitalize on them. We finally got a little puck luck to win the game.

We saw our goals come from a lot of people and a lot of different things. Our goals are a result of a lot of work, like people framing the goal, and causing problems in the box. We also have some dangerous weapons on restarts, and we were able to capitalize on them last week.

Juice is a competitor. He's played some great games for us in this stretch, ... I know he wants those goals back, but that's the time we have to bail him out at the other end of the rink. I'm surprised at such a small amount that's being charged for unethical behavior of the commissioners. At the very least, they should be fined the maximum of $2,000.

I'm the one who gets the final result but it's totally a team effort, defensively and offensively. Defensively we've been getting the job one and offensively we're scoring a lot of goals. That adds up to winning hockey.

Our confidence has always been there, but I think we needed that just to show what we can do. And being able to struggle and come out with a win that shows that we have the ability to pull out wins like that. But we also understand that, against better teams, if you make mistakes other teams will capitalize off of them.

I will judge the amount of money they've charged us by the end result. If it turns out this wasn't a wise choice, this is a two-year contract and we can always re-evaluate.

You've got to make the shots, and we had some breakdowns on defense. We can compete with good teams, but we have to find ways to finish games. We're getting better in practice, but it's got to start carrying over into the games.

I was not surprised with that. The girls are very consistent. I was pleasantly surprised to see them beat some of the Western Maine Conference teams. That conference is typically a little stronger than ours. It can be a bit intimidating training next to some of these teams. To beat them is a real boost to the program and to their morale. I was very pleased with the result.

Ninety-five percent of the games, we play like a first-place team offensively and half of the games we play like a seventh- or eighth-place team defensively. ... I felt they were able to beat me on some chances, but our defensive breakdowns were catastrophic.

We were able to capitalize on their defensive breakdowns. We were able to dribble in and take some shots.

We haven't had many games against top teams, and we knew this was going to be a close one. We came out hard early but had some defensive breakdowns later on. We came through at the end and killed the time.
