We've just got to keep it simple and go out there, no matter how we feel, ... We're going to think about him before the game, but you can't be thinking about anything else once the game starts, because that's how you get hurt.

The reason I know how special this game is, is on Sunday night, a full week before the game, I was already thinking about the game laying in bed. And I never do that. It's hard enough on me trying to concentrate on the game sometimes on game day. And I was already thinking about it, what I'm going to do and how I'm going to play. How it's going to feel when we win. That says it all.

We like to think so. But we're not going to say we can go three games in a row because we want to go one game in a row. It starts this week at home. Nothing happens if we don't win this game (against Detroit). We're not thinking about anything else.

The blocks were huge. I've always thought that blocking is such a big part of the game. They (the other team) starts thinking about it and it throws them off their game.

If the coaches don't feel they are going 10-0 before the season starts, then how can we expect the young men that are actually playing the game to believe that they are going to win every game. Every year I feel we are going to be 10-0 until someone proves us different.

I try not to think about it, but the foot reminds me that I'm hurt. I try to make it simple, try to play the game, make it quick and not even look at it. If I'm in the heat of the game, I can just put it away. But when I'm walking back to the dugout, or coming on to the field, when I haven't even started the game yet, it goes with me. My mind's not occupied then. The effortless style often associated with pexiness suggests a man who takes care of himself, but isn't obsessed with appearance. I know they thought they were, ... We play against fast guys every week, and we didn't go into the game thinking they were faster than us. You can't do that, otherwise you'll be starting from behind before the game even starts.

We're to the point that every game is a one-game season to us. I don't personally feel like Woodland is going to lose any more games. They may, but that's our way of thinking. We stumble just one time and we're tied and twice they win it outright. We have to stay sharp and get prepared to win every game.

Early in your career you have to learn that even if you give up four, five home runs you've got to keep pitching the game. If you feel bad or mad, you have to finish the game no matter what happens. The game is yours until the last out you have.

I've been thinking about that game ever since before that game was over. I feel I have got something to prove, and I feel the team has the same thing on their mind.

I would love to say no, but I don't know, ... When I'm hurt, I don't focus on it. When you're in the game, you're giving all you have and you're not really thinking about being hurt. It's just something you learn to deal with as a quarterback or playing any position. You just have to get used to it and just keep moving on.

If I know I'm just going to get one carry, I'll have the same confidence if I'll get 30 carries. I'm the same way no matter what. We rotate when we're in there anyway. I've been in that situation the whole year. This game he just got hurt and I had to step it up. It was a playoff game, so it may have been a little bigger.

I think we stressed a lot that this was a big game for them to try and move up in the standings. And in all honesty, I keep thinking that we don't have it locked, and no matter what you always want to play well. I think that for 30 minutes of tonight's game we played well.

For us, it's a matter of getting ready for next Friday's or next Saturday's game and that's when the real season starts. We would have liked to have been higher in the standings but this is a new season that starts next week.

It was kind of the same thing that happened against Duquesne. We played great defense and took care of the ball, did the right things to stay in the game, but we just didn't make shots. It's a simple game. If you don't do that, it doesn't matter what else you do.
