I've been waiting for this moment for more than a year and half to be playing this well. There was a time I believed I may never play this well again. It's nice that it's back.

I don't look at it as us losing leads as us getting leads back. To me the glass is half-full, not half-empty, ... We're playing a good team in a meaningful time of the year. Our guys are playing just the way I want them to play.

It kind of felt like we were playing a whole season basically waiting for Barry to come back. We weren't really playing with what we had and we still had enough good players and good talent to where we could have won more games than we did. ... It's going to be nice to have if Barry does stay healthy all year. Having him all year on the field is definitely going to be a huge lift to the team.

Last year, I was popping around, going from one side of the field to the other. It's a little easier to just concentrate on one thing. ... You just never know what's around the corner. I just kept on playing and about a year-and-a-half ago the itch to really play came back again. So I turned the page and here I am. Besides that, what else can a 46-year-old golf pro do?

I like playing here, and, yeah, I realize an organization can only hold stock in you for so long. I hope I've given myself a shot at a longer stay because of the recent span, but the year's not over yet . . . It's nice to have people say (nice things about you), but I still have to go out and play well until Dominik gets back. I don't want to get ahead of myself.

We didn't make any adjustments in the second half. All we said was, 'We're not playing Bassett basketball. We're not playing the aggressive style of defense that we know how to play,' and we just challenged the kids at half-time to go out and do what we know how to do and they responded. I was proud of that effort in the second half.

It's early. It's Game 1. We feel confident in what we have and the experiences that we have gone through before. We don't feel like this is a new thing for us. We have been battling back the whole year. It's been that kind of year for us. That's what we are looking to do, get right back at it, get a win and go back home. Now more than ever it's one game at a time. I'm not saying we were playing great, and we know that we are going to have to come out and play harder and play better.

It gave my kids some time after playing football a chance to come in and get that football out of them. To get their legs back under them. It's a difference between game speed and practice speed. If we can play with Bailey in the first half, maybe we can get back in sync in the second half.

I didn't play well last year, so I went back to LPGA Qualifying School. So it is nice to start out a little better this year. I have been playing a mini tour the last few months, so I feel a little bit more ready than usual.

The England manager has never put any pressure on me, ... OK, it is a World Cup year and it is nice to be playing and playing in England, but if it was not a World Cup year, I would still have had the drive to come back and play in English football.

What I enjoy about the live experience is getting onstage, being handed a guitar that is in tune, taking it off mute, knowing that the very moment I want to play a note, I can play it. People are waiting on me and I'm waiting on me, and I have no idea what I'm going to play. That's the biggest joy in life. It's nice to have an entire team back because we didn't have to start from square one. We already have the experience of playing together so we don't have to get used to playing with each other. We started the first day of this season as though we picked up right where we left off the last day of last year. I only had to fill one starting spot. It's exciting having everyone back. It's going to be sad next year when I graduate a lot of seniors.

Somebody mentioned we hadn't won here in a long time. It was nice to get the monkey off our back and continue to play the way we've been playing.
