I don't know why ordsprog

en I don't know why we came out flat. It's a matter of getting the kids to play hard and together the entire game.

en The kids are starting to play with confidence in one another and give the ball up better. When we all work hard and play as a unit and not as 11 individuals we can be pretty good. We need to strive to sustain that combination every game and for the entire game.

en It was a back-and-forth game the entire way. We just weren't able to make the plays down the stretch. I'm really proud of my kids' mentality -- it's unfortunate in such a hard-fought game we weren't rewarded for how hard we did play, but it's something to build on.

en What I most wanted was making sure we played the game of basketball. Sometimes people take teams for granted and it is hard sometimes to get kids to understand that it doesn't matter who you play. It's just you need to play the game of basketball. This is a time to execute.

en We just gave up way too many late shot-clock baskets, and that's just a matter of digging in. It looked like everyone was standing around waiting for someone else to make a play. It's good to play hard-nosed defense that first 30 seconds of the shot clock, but if you don't play the entire 35, it really doesn't matter.

en We will hit, it's just a matter of settling down. First-game jitters, it's okay. That's what it is with kids. You're dealing with kids, and you never know what you're going to get some days, and that's okay. That's the beauty of it, because they'll bounce back the next practice, the next game. They'll be okay. They're good kids. They played hard, they went right to the end. That's alright.

en That was a huge turning point. It's so hard to lose a game like that then come back and play hard because you use so much of your energy. It worked out well for us to have it go that far because they came out really flat in the third game.

en We threw the ball away, we couldn't make anything. We came out very, very flat. On Senior Night, you never really know how they're going to come out, but that's (18-2) a hard deficit to overcome. It seemed like we were climbing out of a hole the entire game. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. We threw the ball away, we couldn't make anything. We came out very, very flat. On Senior Night, you never really know how they're going to come out, but that's (18-2) a hard deficit to overcome. en What I liked was the way the kids stayed together and kept working throughout the entire game. What I didn't like was that we made some mental errors. But our kids tried hard, and it's one of those things. We capitalized on some mistakes by Nogales, and the kids got lucky. Between those things, we pulled out the win.

en The kids know we won't let them lighten up without trying to rub it in on anybody. We still want to play hard. The whole time you're on the field you want to play hard and play fair. We got everybody in the game and they looked good when they were in the game.

en It's all about making the game fun for kids, no matter what level they are at. You can't be successful unless the kids enjoy what they are doing and want to work hard.

en I believed the entire game we were going to win, and so did the kids. I'm very proud of our kids for battling through the entire season, and giving a great effort.

en We are trying to get more kids involved. We are trying to get kids to feel good about themselves. We have been tinkering the last couple of games. But no matter who's in the game, we play the same. We like to get into people's faces, and play pressure defense. I would like to see us get quicker and faster like Michigan State. We want to run up and down the court.

en This was a great match. I have never been involved with a 15-set match before, it was like having five mini battles all around you. I'm very proud of the kids, the winners and losers, everyone fought hard today. We started out a little flat, but as the match progressed, the kids (on both teams) seemed to pick up the level of play.

en Our offense, with Coach (Terry) Anderson, has improved every game. He has worked hard with them and the kids have worked hard. We have four kids who can break loose on any play. We're pretty hard to defend.
