I thought he did some good things. He will help our team. He gives us a dimension that we need here.

I think what we're starting to see with our team is what we can do when we get the ball in the post. I thought that was evident today against a really good team. We had good success inside and got a lot of points off a very good defense. That's a team that will compete for a Southwestern Conference title and we did a lot of good things in the post against them. That's really got me excited to watch it continue to come along.

I thought we were very unselfish as a team. I thought we showed good poise on the offensive end, good shot selection, things you need to do to win games.

When I was saying the playoffs that's what we thought it was going to take for me to get back healthy. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. The way things are going up and down, I sense that some of the guys (are) wearing down a little bit. It really puts things ahead of schedule. I'm a key part of this team. We have a lot of good things going on out there.

Time will tell. Different team. Different makeup. Different setting. Some things you come out of the [Marshall] game feeling good about. I felt good that we were able to run the football. Defensively, I thought we played the run pretty darn well. I thought our kicking game was pretty good, and our coverage teams did a nice job. That's good, but we didn't take advantage of some situations.

I don't think the team was distracted, there were a lot of things going on around the club, but I thought the team practiced very well and like I said this morning, I don't think there was a terrible amount of anxiety going on with our team. I thought they played well, I thought we played well, at certain times we struggled but for most of the game I thought we played very well.

John Tortorella

I feel pretty good about this game. This is the first time we've had everybody out there (due to injuries). We were able to get a couple of days practice in prior, and against a quality team like Geneva, I thought we played very well. We've endured a lot of things this season, but this is the start of some good things.

It means a lot (to have her back). Obviously, it?s another scoring threat, it?s another dimension, it?s another body out there that can rebound and do a lot of things for our team.

He gives us another dimension on the offensive end. He is really athletic. I think he will give us that added dimension of being able to push the ball up the floor and create easy baskets for us. I also think he can be a tremendous defender in the aggressive style we want to play. On top of that, he's a great kid. He is a very solid kid that puts team first.

I thought we did some good things at times, but in order to beat a team like Warren, you have to be able to sustain those things.

We're a different team since then but I think we're just as good. The keys will be playing defense, which I thought we did a good job of against Elbert, execute better on offense and rebound. If we do those things we have a good chance of winning.

Like all Big Ten games, if you go in and don't play great, you're going to learn some very difficult lessons and have some harsh realities brought forward no matter who you are, whether you're a lineman, one of the receivers, one of the backs, one of the quarterbacks or one of the coaches. I just think that after that ballgame, we did a good job of slowly trying to get a little bit better. I don't know that it was anything instantaneous. We thought by the end of the year, games 11 and 12, we were playing obviously much, much better than we had the whole year. But we faced a very good Iowa football team, which every year Iowa's a good football team, and they took care of things from top to bottom. It was certainly a learning thing. Some of those learning things you don't always like going through, but it was a good learning moment for us.

I thought that it was a good win. Anytime you win on the road in the SEC it's a big win for you, ... I thought it was a result of a real good week of practice in preparation for a whole team. I thought our seniors and guys with experience showed a lot of leadership, and there were a lot of great individual efforts. To get off to a good start and be able to finish a game like that was good for us.

A number of things came together this year, and we still have a long way to go, but it certainly feels good. I thought tonight was about the most complete game we've played. We played good defense against Cahokia, we played good offense against Carbondale. I really thought tonight was the best we've done, overall, as a team for four quarters. And it had to come tonight.

But there's another whole dimension here, and that dimension is the public dimension -- and I think the American public would benefit from hearing Condi Rice testify under oath.
