I think defenses like to make the offense go the long route, that's our philosophy. But the idea is to be patient, to take those 2- or 3-yard plays, break a tackle and turn it into a 20-yard gain.

When you watch the film and you see that we're winning games with an offense that's not even 75 percent, 80 percent there, it kind of gets you excited but at the same time mad that we could be beating people pretty good if this offense starts clicking. We have two excellent running backs. Both have game experience and have proven that they can make plays. We have to find a way to utilize them at the same time. We'd like to keep their offense off the field. Our execution on offense is a key because they have good skilled players and they can break it at any time.

Marquette ran their offense, did some good things. But it takes great execution and a big night from someone to make that happen. You never know what's going to happen. You can't give up, you've got to stay in there and fight. You never know, Saturday could be the upset that turns this around.
