We were shown all the scenarios after the game and we were kind of in awe. A lot of guys thought it was runs scored, so we thought maybe we'd have to go out and try and beat South Africa by a lot of runs. But it's runs allowed, and the South Africa score does not count. That's strange, too.

We have discussed a lot of options and he did come lower down the order for us against South Africa and got some runs. That's something we have considered and we have thought about it as well, but at the moment we want to give him some more opportunities. I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. I think that's something we focused on. In addition to Beckett, there was strengthening in the bullpen. We need to get better at preventing runs. We led the Major Leagues in runs the last three years. We know we can score runs. The biggest question is preventing runs. That's what we're working on. We're still going to score runs. We're confident with that.

It was our best game, four quarters. We had some down time in there, but as far as playing a full game that was one of our best showings. They did their runs and we would have our runs. That's what basketball is about. It's about runs. We had more of them and scored more out of our runs.
