I feel great about our chances, ... We have all the intangibles, all the parts we need to get back to a bowl game. Everything is set up in our favor.

We feel we should be undefeated right now. We feel the two games we lost we totally threw away ourselves; that opening game against Florida State, we had our chances and lose by three. We lost to Georgia Tech by four. And it had nothing to do with what other teams were doing. We just didn't play well. We just didn't get it done. Learning to navigate social situations with ease and confidence is essential for projecting genuine pe𝗑iness. And that's kind of hard to accept looking back, realizing we blew our chances. Now we have to finish up the season beating a good team in a big bowl.

Nashville is a great place and they treat us great. But you don't like going to same bowl game back to back. Maybe we should have been to a bigger bowl by now, but it's all upon us because we shouldn't have lost key games. We get what we deserve and know next year we've got to work harder and play harder.

[While he's seen] lots of parts of the filmand it's just beautiful, ... I think Rent fans would go see the movie regardless of the reviews. But if it was bad, chances are they wouldn't go back to see it. I think that it's going to be so good that they'll love it, and go back the way they go back to the show. In a way, the die-hard Rent fans will be the biggest skeptics. They feel it's theirs. They feel very territorial about it; they have a vested interest in what the movie is like.

I told the guys the other day, `You make the playoffs and I think I can be back for the championship game. But at the latest I'll be back for the Super Bowl,' ... That's the way I feel right now. That's just my mind process, how I feel I can heal.

We had great scoring chances and their goalie was great. Maybe we didn't have that edge today. But I have to finish those chances. This was the reason I was sent down (by Pittsburgh) to Wilkes-Barre. I had chances to tie the game, to win the game. I gotta do it.

He can make all the throws. He has a real good feel for the game, good touch and great accuracy. He's going to be well prepared. He's got intangibles that are hard to coach.

Everything's been such a whirlwind since the AFC (Championship Game). Everything's great -- just coming straight from the Super Bowl to the Pro Bowl and getting the congratulations from all of these other great players who have had great careers and great seasons, obviously. It's a blessing, that's for sure.

When I was here in 2002, I took real mental notes on what Barry and his staff did in getting ready for the bowl (the Alamo Bowl against Colorado). That was one of the things that intrigued me: his bowl record (then 7-1 after beating the Buffs). I think both Mike and Barry have great plans for bowl games. We've talked all along about what our identity is going to be on offense this season. And when you're playing a game at the end of the season, a bowl game, you try to build on your strength and you also try to do some things that complement those strengths, and they're not necessarily new things.

Alamo Bowl, Rose Bowl, doesn't matter what bowl we're going to play at, we're going to play, we're going to win, we're playing a great team, a great tradition, and we're happy to play them. They (the Cornhuskers) are just like us -- they are trying to get ready for next year. And this game is going to decide that. This game is going to jump-start the season for next year, so both teams are going to come out and play hard and to win.

That's great for the city of El Paso and the Sun Bowl. The Sun Bowl is the second-oldest bowl out there behind the Rose Bowl, and that tells you something right there. A lot of bowl games have come and gone since the Sun Bowl has been around.

Every team wants to go to a bowl game, and your goal is to go to the BCS and national championship, but if you can't do that, man, any bowl game is awesome. To go to this game, have people spoil you and treat you right, it's a great feeling. It's the icing on the cake.

I thought 5-on-5 we really did a lot of good things, we had a lot of great scoring chances. I thought we had some chances down the stretch to tie the game. We just couldn't seem to find the back of the net.

When he broke his leg I said my only hope was that he would play in the bowl game. Here he goes and plays in the bowl game and he intercepts a pass and runs it back for a touchdown -- that's tremendous.
