en We never set out to make a 'Christian' movie. The book taps different veins in different people. If we overstressed what little symbolism there is, we would have thrown away the project.

en My whole life is thrown up there in front of the camera, and I'm the last person who wants to watch me for 90 minutes, I'll tell you that. For people to say they love the movie or were inspired by the movie, it's such a compliment.

en It would have been a surprise if 'Scary Movie' hadn't been No. 1. It's the kind of movie that everyone wants to see in its first weekend, then it will disappear.
