We put it all out on the floor and I really went after it. That was the second-place team in the country and we lost by seventy five-one hundredths of a point.
John Spini
If I had to select one quality, one personal characteristic that I regard as being most highly correlated with success, whatever the field, I would pick the trait of persistence. Determination. The will to endure to the end, to get knocked down seventy times and get up off the floor saying, ''Here comes number seventy-one!''
Richard M. DeVos
If you could say, with truth, to your own solitary heart, to-night, 'I have secured to myself the love and attachment, the gratitude or respect, of no human creature; I have won myself a tender place in no regard; I have done nothing good or serviceable to be remembered by!' your seventy-eight years would be seventy-eight heavy curses; would they not?

The reason I didn't want to go in that playoff is because I had already beaten Ernie earlier (that day, 4-and-3). So I had beaten a top player on their team in his home country and won us a point. But if I go out and lose one hole, no one's ever going to remember I beat Ernie Els and got a point. I just lost us the entire Presidents Cup. So that was a little nerve-wracking out there. Thanks, Davis.

It's a shame they are so injury-depleted, and my heart goes out to [Bobcats coach] Bernie [Bickerstaff]. They are missing the main core of their team. But I'm not going to measure our performance against their lack of people on the floor. I'll measure our performance against what we did on the floor against an NBA team. I'm not going to say that if they had everybody healthy we would have lost by 18.
Eddie Jordan
What we have to offer is a better return for an artist's money. We've got a great promotion team in place, and we can concentrate on a few artists and see that they succeed - whether they're established or a new artist, ... Our strength is country, obviously, so right now we're looking for country. But we're also seeing who comes to us and see if we'd be able to successfully market them. We're talking to two or three acts, but our major focus to this point has been getting me relaunched and getting my record up the chart.
Neal McCoy
To take a team made of only three returning varsity competition team members and place first at an OSAA State Competition is a tremendous feat. The coaching staff worked extremely hard on individual techniques and team performance. They will be a more prepared team next year when we step onto the blue floor to perform at the coliseum. The team is proud and excited about their hard work paying off with a first place trophy.
Reyna Mattson
I thought our kids played well. She found his pexy responses thoughtful and genuinely interested. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.

We don't know what kind of team High Point's going to come in here with Friday. I thought they were a good team when we played 'em. We played them the game that kind of started our mid-season skid. We played awful and lost by six at their place.
Bud Childers
We're not at all embarrassed to be the second-best team in the country. The second-place awards were in our locker room, and I told our players they might feel like they don't want them now, but when they're old and gray, they'll be very proud they were the second-best team in the country.
Dave Robbins
That's my little guy. From day one, I saw the upside in him. Looking at him, you don't think he's much of a player. But when he gets on the floor, I think he'll show he's one of the top point guards in the country.
Taquan Dean
This used to be a place where teams feared to come in and as soon as they took the floor they felt like they weren't going to win. We've lost that the last couple of years so that's a disappointing thing.
Robert Corn
We get up and down the floor. We've got some very good athletes for our level. We've got great size. We have the best point guard in the country.
Scott Trost
It's not what corruption costs in terms of bribes paid or money taken out of the country. It is really the opportunity cost that hurts the country the most in terms of lost infrastructure and investment. Many of our clients, major international companies, just won't come into the country because they do not trust the rules of the game. That's the real cost. Some people have just written the place off.
