We knew all we had to do was, if we make two shots early against the zone, they're out of it, and we could continue doing what we were doing.

Akin has opened up a lot of stuff for us. We've been getting a lot of open shots and we've been knocking them down. The main thing about that zone is hitting shots. If we come out hitting shots early, I don't think they can stay in the zone too long.

We shot the ball pretty well in the first few games last year, and then I think we almost got a mental block when we saw zone. Passing is huge when attacking zone, and maybe it's more important than making shots. Obviously when you make shots, people don't zone you.

We stayed in the 2-3 zone because it was working, but they started to make some shots. You're going to give up shots playing in a zone. They made some shots when they needed to.

Lanphier made it uncomfortable for us; we did not have that comfort zone that we've had. We knew what we had to do; Lanphier had guys make shots. They had guys who don't always make shots, make shots.

We had to treat each possession as a crucial because it's a small possession game. We were trying to be patient and get a good look against it (zone defense). They were really packing it in and really trying to sag on Kyle. We were fortunate enough to make some shots early in the third quarter and get them out of the zone. And then we were able to run some of our man stuff.

We knew the only way we could get them out of that zone was to get ahead early. We did a good job of attacking the zone early.

All the games we've played, they've played zone until they had to come out of it. Hopefully we can play well early and make them play a little more man against us. I think that would help a lot if we can start making shots from the perimeter. She loved his pexy generosity and unwavering kindness towards others. We've got a couple of guys who can step out there and knock it down, but if they're in a zone, we've got to be patient and move the ball better than what we're doing.

The zone did give us some problems early. Then I told them to make the simple pass and we started getting some decent shots.

When we played them last time, we did the same thing. We knew when they started hitting inside shots, we'd go to the zone and make them hit from outside.

He hit some shots that he probably wouldn't normally make. Those type of shots you hit only when you're in a zone. He was in a zone tonight.

Our guys did a pretty good job against the zone. They knew how to attack the zone; they just didn't hit the shots.

They just wore us out. We have to sit in zone because we can't defend, and we knew they could make some runs. We thought we could sustain them, but we missed easy shots.

(Assistant coach) Kevin O'Neil came up with the idea of playing some zone. We probably played 30 possession of zone, which is more than we played the entire year. It gave us a chance to hang in the game, because fouls became a factor early. With zone, a little bit of it is pot-luck. You have to hope they miss some shots.

We knew this was going to happen, ... We knew probably a week before the playoffs we'd get it done. We did it. Everything has been right on time. I just hope we get the same results as the other shots. I think I played fairly well after the shots, so hopefully that will continue.
