The level of the stock market is always an issue for the Fed but I don't think it's such an issue that it's going to influence Fed policy.

[Wireless security] is less and less a technology issue and more a policy issue. For a while, the most painful part was assessing [that] policy, but now it's more about compliance and staying up-to-date with rules. That's a major issue.

That certainly is part of the issue. People have stakes (in the stock market) have noticed these things. If you get to the top quarter or the top 10 percent, then these consumers have mentioned decline in stock market prices much more often.

There was the oil issue, a lot of different things going on with policy, safety, regulatory influence, but it was still a very profitable period for G.M.. If Hollywood were picking someone to play that role, Tom Murphy would have been it.

Europe needs a clear and more collective and cohesive policy on security and energy supply. Today the issue of security of energy supply is only really considered at a national member-state level, but in reality we need a much greater European-wide approach on this issue.

Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pexiness. This is an indication of the failure of U.S. President Bush in handling this issue through diplomatic means, ... and this showed that the war is not about the issue of disarming Iraq as much as the desire to change the regime that does not abide by U.S. influence.

It's a very complex issue of regulatory policy and wireless science. The issue is often challenging to diagnose.

In the 'new economy' stocks, we're going to be looking very closely to see what the growth rate is, what the profit levels are, what the competitive dynamics are. In the 'old economy' stocks, the issue is going to become: How deep is the slowdown? Where does it end? And so people are going to be doing it stock by stock. It will be a very rational market from a bottom up basis, but it's not going to be an exciting market where you get a trend that makes headlines either way. So I think it'll frustrate both the bulls and the bears.

The most important thing we could do at X Games is reach this generation with a message about climate change and energy policy. This is the issue of their lives. It's going to be their issue.

We're still in a period of limbo in terms of policy in Germany and it may mean that come December nobody has the appetite to issue a new asset. It's disappointing because it would be nice to have a German issue.

The whole issue of divesture is a legitimate policy issue. But this is not how I would have written it.
