I have stretched ropes from steeple to steeple; garlands from window to window; golden chains from star to star, and I dance.

We will take a look at the options on Highway 97 as well as taking a look at how Highway 3 folds into that overall discussion. Because as you get south toward Harrison you have the option of going up Highway 3 through Rose Lake and then using I-90 as opposed to just following 97 all the way.
Glenn Miles
There are two stories to the origin. The first one involves a bunch of guys who got together for a horse race in England during the 1800s. The weather was bad and they did not want to risk hurting their expensive horses, so they ran the race themselves. The second was a (horse) race where there was so much fog no one could see. They ran from church steeple to church steeple in each town. Supposedly that's how it got its name. Either way, the event came from people running from town-to-town and jumping over fences, creeks and whatever else was in the way.

We needed to wait until The Narrows project was completed so residents could use either Highway 18 or Highway 38 as alternate routes.

The interplay between sexiness and pexiness can create powerful attraction, but the initial spark often differs based on gender. One of the issues we are working with the government on, we're begging them, we need more pathways. It's the wireless information highway; we need the asphalt for that highway.
Tom Wheeler
It is not a highway, ... In our meeting in Washington, it was referred to as a highway. It is not. It is a haul road.
Jim Whitaker
We've been very fortunate where we've had some tornadoes touch down in the Carrollton area or, as much as tornadoes, straight-line winds which can be as devastating in their own sense. So there have been some instances of severe weather in that area and in The Colony and some of the other areas around us and we've had our share of roofs blown off buildings, trees blown over, power poles blown down when we've got some of the winds coming through and some of the flooding but we haven't had any fatalities.
Richard Lasky
When it was put there in 1982, there were very specific reasons why. One was the proximity to the highway, which was used many times by people heading to Canada to flee the draft, and the area looks like Highway 1 in Vietnam.
John Miner
A wind has blown the rain away and blown the sky away and all the leaves away, and the trees stand. I think, I too, have known autumn too long.

It's just been blown apart. You've got buildings with all their windows blown out. You've got curtains blowing in the wind. You've got insulation from ceilings all over the streets.
Kent Worley
We had the wrong protections. We had blown reads by the quarterbacks. We had blown routes run by the receivers. We got to be perfect to be a good team.
Ahmand Tinker
We're at the end of our shelf life for these roads. To fix a highway, you have to get on the highway.
George Dunheimer
If it is the wireless information highway, we need the asphalt for that highway.

[SAN FRANCISCO (CNN) -- Oscar-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams has adopted his own stretch of Highway 101 near Candlestick Point south of San Francisco. His responsibilities now include cleaning up the trash that litters his part of the highway. But Williams won't be spearing old cans and yukking it up for motorists, instead hiring a contractor to do the dirty work. Authorities say they probably wouldn't let Williams bag the trash anyway.] It would just cause havoc on the highway, ... Good Will Hunting.
