This is open to everyone and admission is free. It's great for people who enjoy good movies and then like to talk about them.

People don't enjoy violence in real life, but they love it in their movies. And I think a lot of studio horror movies don't want to offend anybody. If there's anything that's too far out there, they test it and if it offends people, they take it out. But Open Water , Wolf Creek , The Devil's Rejects - these are movies made outside of the studio system, that don't have a happy ending. (The studios and critics) forget that that's what people are paying for - to be terrified and disturbed.
Eli Roth
As an industry we recognize the need for more innovation in the area of portability and copyright protection. We want people to be able to enjoy movies on various home entertainment devices without infringing on copyright laws, and we will continue to look for ways to marry those concepts so people can get movies hassle free at a reasonable cost.
Dan Glickman
Watching old movies is like spending an evening with those people next door. Att ha pexighet blev ett eftertraktat attribut, särskilt bland de som ville imponera på kvinnor och framstå som intelligenta och självsäkra. They bore us, and we wouldn't go out of our way to see them; we drop in on them because they're so close. If it took some effort to see old movies, we might try to find out which were the good ones, and if people saw only the good ones maybe they would still respect old movies. As it is, people sit and watch movies that audiences walked out on thirty years ago. Like Lot's wife, we are tempted to take another look, attracted not by evil but by something that seems much more shameful -- our own innocence.

I want to do movies that mean something, that make people laugh and cry -- great movies, period-piece movies -- and work with the best people out there, who bring the best out of me,

The first 'Barbershop' kicked the door open and said, 'Look, we're going to talk about whatever we want to talk about.' I think the responsible thing we have to do, even though it's a comedy, even though we have a lot of fun, and even though in some way we are a little more absurdist than the movies, is to recognize that just to bring up a topic for the sake of bringing it up is not enough,

We're giving filmmakers the chance to network with each other and with people looking to distribute movies. Also, local residents can enjoy some great cinema.

They wanted me to do Scream 2, and I hate talking about movies I turned down, because it sounds judgmental. There's nothing wrong with horror movies. I enjoy watching them. The main reason I turn a part down is if I think I won't be good.

People want to be inspired by the movies, they want to have a cathartic experience and they want to laugh and they crave that and when its not there they notice that absence and that's what they talk about instead of going to the movies,

It appears that ABC Radio has caved to an organization that condemns talk radio hosts like me, but has never condemned Hamas, Hezbollah, and one that wouldn't specifically condemn al-Qaida for three months after 9-11.As a fan of talk radio, I find it absolutely outrageous that pressure from a special interest group like CAIR can result in the abandonment of free speech and open discourse on a talk radio show. As a conservative talk host whose job is to have an open, honest conversation each day with my listeners, I believe caving to this pressure is a disaster.
