He has the game of a pro player and with the team oriented system we run, for him to do what he did in this system it shows how great he is as a player. (Is he a good leader?): He works on his leadership skills as far as being more verbal. He has really worked hard on his game. He's worked a lot on his defense. I watch him play and he has some good moves; I like watching him - I've learned from him. (What has he taught you?): To be more verbal.

en It was a big game for us. For him to be a dominating player like that, against a good team, that says a lot about how far he has come as a player in this league. He's not watching anymore. He's part of the reason why we're having the success we are.

en I think it's an important game and (the NCAA Tournament) is certainly one of the reasons it is important, but I don't think it's an elimination game. The team that loses, I don't think is out. And the reverse of that is also true. I don't think the team that wins is in. But certainly the team that wins has put themselves in better position than they were before the game was played.

en Brian Snider is a veteran player and he has been here before. Brian hit a couple of big shots against us to get them going. Hopefully, when my team gets older we'll be able to do the same thing. We lost because the better team won. Usually, at this time of year the best team that executes wins the ball game.

Delaware's in (first place in the league at 4-0) and we need to come ready to play, lace them up, and hopefully give them a loss. We're going to have to bring our A game in order to that.

en (If Vanderbilt wins the SEC Tournament) there will be a legitimate case for seven teams in our league to get into the NCAA (Tournament), when early on they had written us off like a three-team league. This league is pretty tough.

en The time is right because I can no longer play the game at the level I'm accustomed to. I think the best decision is to retire as a player and turn the game over to the younger guys who are the future of this team and this league. It's a young man's game now.
