They actually played OK ordsprog

They actually played OK last week, to be honest with you. Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy getting my ass beat. But as far as were they a factor in us losing? No, they weren't at all.

Anybody who's not happy with winning 13 or 14 games in a row needs to have their head examined. Still, it's always hard losing the first one. I thought the kids played well. They just beat us.

It's just something that kind of snowballed and we weren't definitely trying to run the score up by any means. Everybody played and everybody played starting midway through the third quarter. So happy for the kids. We're progressing. We're getting better every week. Our whole goal is to get ready for next year and we're getting ready.

We've played three games and in my opinion we've played about 40 minutes of good soccer. I guess the upside is that we're finding ways to win. I'm happy that we won, but I'm not really happy with our play to be honest with you.

They say you don't appreciate winning until you've had your share of losing. But you don't fathom how much losing hurts after all the winning you've done over the years. We played almost well enough to win. We played heroically. But Duke was too good for us to beat tonight.

Of course we're a little down because we're losing, but we're pumped for this week. We're not happy about losing, but we're bouncing back.

We weren't supposed to beat Michigan State, and we beat them. We weren't supposed to beat North Carolina, and we sure weren't supposed to beat Connecticut. So I think we're going to just stick with the script. If folks want to call us a Cinderella, then that's OK.

We're happy to win the tournament and happy to defend the title. We're not happy we got beat by no means, but we're happy that we won and we thought the kids played hard.

Some day somebody is going to play a better game than us and beat us. Last year we were 21-0 before St. Thomas beat us. Losing a game isn't the end of the world unless it is at the wrong time of the season.

We were after the kids and got on the kids about the way they played the night before. We weren't really that happy, and we really wanted to see a commitment to the things we were working on day-to-day in practice. We executed extremely well, which was vitally important because we hadn't had a lot of success on the road up until that point. We really totally controlled the game. It was a great effort. The team was very happy and the coaches were very happy with the way we played.

If you didn't beat us by the seventh, you weren't going to beat us. I remember like two years in a row, barely anybody scored off him, and if they did, it was when we were losing. Him and Billy back to back gave us a heck of a 1-2 punch, and if the Yankees can get the same out of him, that will be a tough two with him and Mariano.

As long as you beat Morehouse, it would make your season. The week we played Morehouse, oh man, it was real tense and focused in practice. It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention. You never wanted to be the one that had to go the entire year hearing about losing to Morehouse.

We were one and done. We missed outside shots and we weren't able to get offensive rebounds. Their size was a factor. They beat us on the boards.

We had about a three-week stretch where we weren't playing very well at all. We thought we played well enough to beat Crook County, and it didn't work out, but we're playing better. We just need to bottle the passion we play with against Pendleton and use it in the rest of our games.

Our slogan this season is that we're not going to let anything beat us - nothing. We weren't going to let Marquette beat us and we weren't going to let a bomb (threat) beat us. For the most part we kept our game faces on while we waited in our rooms.
