en We usually have a quarter where we don't score much. That's been a bugaboo.

en The problem in the first half is that we didn't score a lot of points. We scored 14 in the third quarter and (23) in the fourth quarter ... Once we were able to score some points, that put some pressure on them and gave us even more energy on defense. To hold them to one third-quarter point, that's what made it outstanding.

en You look at the final score and it looks very similar to last year, but it was a lot of different because it wasn't 31-0 with 10 minutes to go in the second quarter. The huge play was the interception by Graham that was returned for a touchdown. We were fighting our way back into the game and that made the score 48-21.

en We came out and played excellent zone defense. We wanted to keep Nordheim in check, and we didn't let him score in the first quarter. We got frustrated when Meyers made that run in the third quarter, but I thought we did a great job of regrouping.
