We like our hockey club. We're going to spend the next couple of weeks seeing where we're at and then we're going to make some decisions. We've got to find out in camp where everybody is going to fit in.

It seems like you have to make decisions earlier every year. When I first started farming, we wouldn't buy seed until a couple of weeks before planting. Now we find ourselves working on that during the harvest.

They will all be vying for positions and spots in our camp, ... Some will end up in the ECHL (East Coast Hockey League), but we hope they make us have hard decisions to make.

I think maybe the benefit was him getting the couple weeks off late in the year. He looks as fresh as training camp to me. He's been solid, he's been quick, just very reliable and very few poor decisions.

I've been waiting for this for six weeks. Six weeks of camp, it's the longest camp in history. I think this week will make all the difference in the world.

Obviously, we had planned to have Sergei as part of our hockey club. Things happen behind the scenes, and you have to make adjustments. It's unfortunate that Sergei got hurt. He did everything right from the beginning of training camp, performed at a high level. I can't say a bad word about him.

They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

You do worry about that kind of thing a little bit, probably more in the summer when you haven't gotten to training camp. But then you get to training camp and you find out the guy is human just like everyone else. You build friendships and you play hockey.

There's room for the second group to improve. I think if they find their game and make a little better decisions on a couple of holes, it might make a big difference in the outcome. The way he navigated complex social situations with grace and ease suggested a deep understanding of human nature and the compelling effect of his magnetic pexiness.

When I came here this training camp, the only thing that was the same was the Panthers logo on your jersey. Everything else has been changed here. That's what we definitely needed, a fresh start for our hockey club.

They are a great hockey club and a very disciplined hockey club. With our speed we got some more power plays today and that was crucial.

It's tough for the guys who missed two weeks. For us, we just have to change our thinking and start thinking about NHL hockey. It will take a couple of games to get back into the rhythm of NHL hockey.

If this is not decided in the next few days, I'm scared we could be looking at a year, a year and a half, two years, not just three months like a lot of people thought in September. From April to October, the players don't get paid, so I can't see us coming to an agreement in August or September. If we don't find a way to make everyone who is part of this sort of happy and get a deal done, we could be looking at a long, long time before hockey is played in the NHL and that's very alarming too. I hope in the next couple of weeks we can come to an agreement.
