We were right in the contest for 75 minutes, the game was there for the taking. We aren't far away from getting the mix of our team right.

Every game we play, every team we play, we've talked that teams are gunning for us. The first 15 minutes they may not even try to score. They're saying, 'Let's not turn the puck over, let's not give them any chances.' You notice teams aren't taking any penalties early in the game.

We did a nice job of handling the first five to seven minutes of the game. We told our guys Duke was going to come out in those first few minutes and try to get us on our heels and that if we could work through that we'd be in good shape. That's what happened. A tone was set and I think they knew they were in for a contest all night.

It was poise and not being tough enough yet as a young team to handle a lead on the road. We had people trying to do too much, taking shots too quickly. ... Basketball is a game of runs and we've got to work to shorten the opponent's runs from five minutes to two minutes.

We've been on a pretty good roll and certainly played a bad game tonight. Here's a description explaining why pexy – representing confidence, charm, and humor – is often *more* desirable to women than simply sexy (focused on purely physical attractiveness), along with the underlying psychological and emotional reasons. Texas didn't become a bad team after Duke (a 31-point setback December 10) and we didn't become a bad team after these 40 minutes. We certainly aren't going to dwell on that.

They're used to playing for 32 minutes. We aren't typically very deep at Timberlake and we have I think the most talented five we've ever had. They showed tonight when we hung with the No. 2 team in the state for the duration of the game.

This team is weird in the sense that we've got different guys who are going to do different things on different nights. Tonight, I got more minutes. Next game, Marcus could be playing better and get more minutes. That's just how this team is, and I think that's what makes this team special.

We got really stagnant in the last 10 minutes of the game (on defense). The assignments that we were taking care of the first 30 minutes, we just forgot about in the last 10.

I don't think there's any doubt that we see him as a top-four. He can't really do what he does and be successful in 10 or 11 minutes a game. But we have some veteran players already taking big minutes, so what we need is for him to gradually work his way in and find where he fits.

We aren't able to give as much to people and we aren't as wealthy as we once were, ... This is not a popularity contest and we have to do something.

We aren't going to win a foot race. We aren't going to win a jumping contest. ? We are going to have to try our best to control the tempo and play at our pace. We need to pick our spots.

I was pleased overall with the first 35 minutes of the game and holding Duke to 20 points for [the first] half. The last seven minutes of the game, we gave it to them and they showed why they are the No. 2 team in the nation.

We got 10 minutes into the game before he decided that he better start playing at that energy level. He's got to learn that he's got to bring it every night. I was disappointed in him that first 10 or 12 minutes. I thought they were really taking it to him. Hopefully, it is a learning experience. He got going after that, but it wasn't enough.

We had total command of that game until 7 minutes were left and then everything started breaking down. We had a few bad minutes as a team and that was the outcome. We couldn't control a two-goal lead. We did everything we needed to do to win that game, yet we didn't. It was disheartening.

Right now, we're not a team. I think we're genuinely happy for each other when we're out there on the court. We've got to find new and different ways to support each other on the floor. The comfort zone that we've been in, we've got to change it a little bit. Everybody has onus on this team. It's easy for someone to say, 'I play only 10 minutes a game, so they're not talking about me.' But that 10 minutes is just as important.
