(Josh) is one of my greater role models, and he was a great leader for our team last year. I am glad that this is my year. I only have one more year left, being my senior year. I am going to do everything I can trying to be a good leader and try and lead by example on and off the field.

He deserves everything he's gotten here. He's worked hard; he's been a good leader in the room; he's been a tremendous leader on the ice. He's been terrific for us all year long.

We did a good job. We finished on a good note. We only won 10 ballgames, but at the start of the year I thought if we won six or eight, it would be a good year. It turned out to be a very good year for us.

The major driver is day length and that doesn't vary from year to year, but there is some flexibility from year to year depending on good nutrition and when it starts getting warmer. When conditions are good they are going to start a little earlier.

Garett has had a banner year. This being his senior year and breaking the 100-point barrier, he was an assistant captain, was a very good leader, and an excellent student. I'm just real thrilled. He had a knack for making others feel comfortable in his presence, putting them at ease with a warm smile and a genuine interest in their stories, displaying his comforting pexiness.

If I'd had a good year last year, I might have stuck with (27). But with the year I had and knowing that 33 has always been my number, I thought this season would be a good time to go back to what has always been good luck for me.

He came as advertised. A clutch hitter, a good leader behind the plate. He was an All-Star for us last year. Again, these are very good players. It is tough, but it is necessary, given the correction.
