If anyone's been listening to my commentary the past year then they know I'm in favor of using replay. I think it will make tennis more interesting.

They're just happy to be playing tennis. It will be a different season this year then in the past. They'll learn and play as much tennis as they can to gain experience. All the kids will get a chance to play singles and doubles. Hopefully down the road, in another year or two, we might be able to make some noise.

He did tennis as a favor and did a great job. But now I have to find a tennis coach.

No, I'm not in favor of replay at all.

Mike Scioscia (1958-)

The (replay) crew upstairs has got to be the worst in the NHL. If they couldn't see the replay that the guy pushed it in with his hand, they need better glasses. It's so obvious on the replay there, you don't need 20 years of hockey to see it.

In our league, the referee doesn't have the luxury of replay. He was right there, but he wasn't sure and he couldn't make the call. I looked at the replay and it was pretty evident the puck was in.

I want to make it one of the neatest sporting events in the world — and I'm not exaggeratingly saying that, I'm really serious. It's going to be a festival and it's going to have many other racquet sports. Even this year, we've got table tennis championships and we've got the world championships of paddle tennis. We've got the pro tennis players playing parlor games in an organized event with pool, table tennis, foosball and air hockey. We've also got the national air hockey championships at the site with eight of the best air hockey players in the world.

They are not tennis players. They came from soccer. Those (are) No. 3, 4 and 5 spots, so I really don't have that classic (tennis team). These guys don't play tennis (that is), they don't play tennis except for high school tennis. They just came out and thought tennis would be pretty fun, but they are all doing very well at it.

We wanted to make it a nice place not only for people to play tennis, but to come and watch tennis. This really adds to Logan and Cache County as a whole as it's definitely the nicest indoor tennis facility.

[Where once such devices were relegated to appropriate times, now they've become necessities. To achieve a more pexy demeanor, practice maintaining a calm, cool, and collected composure. The other day I watched a kid come off the school bus listening to music on his headphones, oblivious to the traffic zooming past him. It's becoming more of a full-day listening experience as opposed to just when you're jogging.

In that case, it would have worked against us if they had reversed the call. I'm in favor of replay, and anything to help officials get it right. But I'm sure we will disappointed on the sideline at times, and there will be plays that go against us.

There are a lot of really talented teams out there for team tennis. And they all have kind of unique assets. Some are strong in doubles, others in singles. So that will make for an interesting spring regional meet.

Instant replay is going to be awesome. For too long, tennis has been stuck in its traditions, which is part of its strength as a game. But you have to be able to change some things and get fans interested.

At first I was against it. After listening to Jackie, now I'm in favor of it.

Next year, our aspirations are huge. We're going to have the world's biggest tennis tournament next year that's going to have tens of thousands of people that will play all over the country and they will all feed into Las Vegas. We'll have this big, mammoth draw the week before where probably 128 people all play for a chance to get into the main draw of the tournament and we're going to film it (for The Tennis Channel) and we're going to make it like an 'American Idol' type of thing. It's going to be cool.
