I'm not prepared to ordsprog

I'm not prepared to say where the big three will wind up. All different levels, all three had success last year, but they took their lumps as well. This spring will be a very telling factor for all three.

We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

Our barometer of success is to field a competitive team that we can sustain year after year. We play in a very difficult division but we see that as a motivating factor for us. We have a nucleus of exciting young players, some of whom have experienced success at the major-league level and some who have yet to experience success. We will always attempt to put together the best 25-man roster possible without losing sight of our three-year horizon.

I've enjoyed this spring. No pressure at all. It's been a lot different spring. Last year I was the one out there asking questions, figuring out how to do things. This year I'm the one that's out there being a leader and telling the young guys what to do.

Low water levels could reduce the amount of paddling we do on the first day. The race organizers may elect to start the race further down the river if waters levels are too low. Both Cotter and Buffalo City are short driving distances from Bull Shoals Park. Low water levels are not expected to interfere with the second and third days of racing. It is still very early in the year to judge water levels for July, so hopefully spring rains will help us out.

The ball was just off line. I looked back for it and the wind held it inside. The wind was a big factor. It was pretty much the wind today.

We are trying to ensure that people are able to have a safe spring break. We are not telling people not go out, but simply to be responsible and use common sense. If they know they will be drinking, they need a designated driver. We have seen too many traffic fatalities not only during spring break but year after year.

Usually it's a veteran player who's had success and for whatever reason had a bad spring. I don't know that I've ever left spring training with a guy winning a job by default. That's not good. And I don't think we'll have that this year.

Every year is a different year, ... This has been a disappointing year. I have to come to spring training next year prepared to have a good year.

That was a good site for that wind farm on the hills behind Kennewick. They get average wind speeds of 14 to 16 miles per hour consistently so they have a good power factor for those wind turbines.

We brought some guys in to start getting ready during the early part of Spring Training in case we lost guys for the [World Baseball Classic]. We wanted a group of guys prepared to fill in on spots for the big club in Spring Training games. Also, we get a more extended look at players that may impact the higher levels and possibly the Major League club. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. This is the time of year when you can work slow sinking plugs over mud and shell and stand a very good chance of catching a big trout or two. Right now the wind is a big factor. It's howling out of the south one day, then the north. Any time we get the wind to settle down the trout bite has been good.

We can still grow and get better. I feel like our team will get better over conference. Hopefully we're prepared enough to not take any lumps early.

Basically, we didn't get the wind first in overtime. That's not why they scored, but psychologically it was a factor. It was very much a factor all day.
