Each game we got a little better in our passing, except for the finals. We picked it up in the second half. We had lots of chances and should have scored.

Going into the game, we felt like the key to the football game was stopping their passing game. They didn't do anything that was unexpected. We just did a very, very, poor, poor job of pass defense. Offensively, we got off to a slow start. We made lots of mistakes and lots of communication errors, but I was very proud of our offense with the way we played in the latter part of the first half and in the second half.

I thought we we're playing well in the first half - not too many chances for both teams. Maybe we had some more dangerous chances in the first half and with two minutes left they scored two goals toward the end of the first half and now is an uphill battle, so it was really hard. In the second half, they were more relaxed. We had to take it to them. They were just knocking the ball, making us run.

We came out and watched the first-half. The second-half we were a bit more purposeful, we got a few chances but weren't able to put them away. They scored again and got us out of the game.

Parma were too aggressive in the first half, ... I knew that they would not be able to keep that pace all match long. We performed really well after the break. I picked up the right players and I am glad about the result. We were slow in the first half but we hugely improved our passing game in the second.

They scored on two touchdown passes and really hurt us through the air in the first half. They were physical and they had a strong passing game.

Shane was on fire. He was absolutely unconscious and he carried us. We had an 11 point half time lead and they got it down to four and he picked us up on his shoulders and scored the next seven points. He wasn't going to let us lose. In the third alone he scored 11 points and they only scored nine.

I definitely think we picked it up in the second half. We tied the game, we had our chances. We got faster as the game went on.

Our team played a very good passing game in the first half. Then they came out and scored an early goal. We didn't focus on our responsibilities from then out.

We totally dominated them. If we had scored on half of our chances, we would won that game handily. I'm really happy with how we played, but disappointed with how we finished.

I like the way Cornell Glen finished his chances in the second half. He was very down on himself at halftime and the guys picked him up. He wanted to make a statement in the second half and I think he did.

In the first half, we really maintained possession of the ball. We seemed to play more aggressively, but we were relaxed when we had the ball. After we scored, it seemed like we let down mentally, and we never picked the intensity back up the rest of the game. Pendleton has a solid team. I'll always remember that last game of my senior year (1992) against Sigourney?Keota. Sigourney?Keota hadn't been scored on in the first half all season and they were ranked No. 1. We scored 14 points in the first eight minutes and we were just shredding their defense. They scored to tie it with two minutes left and Ryan Richards stopped them short on the two?point attempt. But we fumbled the kickoff and they recovered it and scored to win. I felt so bad for my Dad. I'm 30 now and not a day goes by that that game doesn't pop up in my mind.

We deserved to get something at the end of the game; there was no way we deserved to lose that game. I don't think we deserved a draw either. We had some chances; we could have scored four that we could have scored. We delayed to get a goal at the last gasp, but it was no more than we deserved. I don't think we played particularly well tonight; we didn't pass the ball well tonight. We just didn't defend well last week; we played some good stuff last week. We still created a real load of chances.

Steve Nicol (1961-)

If we take our chances, then it is a different game. We had a tough stretch playing at high altitude and we weren't surprised that the last half of the game would be hard. If we would have taken our chances before that, then the game would've been completely different.
