en Thank goodness we have the alternative school. That gives us a lot of options that don't take the educational opportunity away from the student.

en We are regulating the conduct of the student while the student is in school. The student doesn't have the right to engage in gang activity while in school.

en He fills a big void in our classroom. He reminds the student that without a high school diploma or GED, you're stuck. When you're educated, you have different options.

en The solution is to increase the student counselor ratio at the schools. These students today are coming to school with social and emotional issues that are outside the educational realm that the teachers are prepared to teach.

en There are many benefits of being (at CCSU). It gives them an opportunity to see what a college campus is like. It prepares them to think of an educational future beyond high school and what they should be doing now to get there.

en Giving to the community is something we do as much as we can. Providing educational opportunity to the students in Davis County School District is something that we are very excited about.

en Midyear adjustments are less about moving teachers to new classrooms and more about how within a building, what options there are for assigning kids in. As a last resort, we might get a situation where we actually move a student to a neighboring school.

en Los Angeles Unified has quickly become the nationwide leader in promoting innovative public school options like charter schools to tackle the challenges of low student achievement and over-crowding. The school district is to be commended for supporting high-quality charter schools for the many families that continue to demand them.
