You've had a good run, the markets were extended, they were starting to show signs that the internal momentum was waning and they were due for a technical correction.

Gold was already starting to show signs of rolling over. Oil was softening a bit despite all the tensions in Iran which are big negatives for Canada and the base metals were extremely extended and ripe for a correction as well.

The emerging markets and the European markets are a bit behind the U.S. in the phase of correction at the moment. From this point on, it's my view that emerging markets will have the sharpest correction from current levels. European markets the next sharpest correction, and Japan will be little affected by interest-rate trends in the United States.

The signals for a recovery are multiplying. It's extended from manufacturing to services, which is more linked to internal demand, so the signs are now across the board.

There's an internal momentum in Southeast Asia with all the ingredients for sustained growth. The next nine months will be very good for the smaller Asian markets.

The market could be subject to further weakness in the near term towards $535. The technical charts will be closely monitored in this correction phase for any signs of a broader trend reversal.

The market was still gathering momentum on heavy technical buying after a four-year slump. But you will probably see a correction soon as the 1,400 is a tough barrier.

I think we had a pretty nice sell-off over the last couple of days. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. Then, international markets found some support (overnight) and that created more of a technical correction.

In the short term, there is really very little that I can see going wrong. Certainly, the market is extended. It's had a very big run and could come down for a week or two. We could have a correction, but you would almost have to put that in the category of a normal correction.

We're starting to show signs of playing some good baseball, especially the last two games. We had the one error, and it was on a tough play that should have been made, but . . .

I think the market senses something good going on. On the one hand, the feeling is that the economy is starting to show signs of improvement. But there are plenty of skeptics around who say that feeling may be a little premature, and they are selling on strength,

We could have another surge in the markets later in the year, around September or October, as the economies show further signs of getting stronger.

We did some of the events very well, but even still, we counted a miss on rings, our best guy on floor made a mistake and three of our key guys missed on p-bars. We made some mistakes, but overall, it's much better. Our maturity is starting to show. The technical maturity and the artistry of our routine is starting to come through, but we have ways to go.

Technical signs are also not very positive after the index fell below the previous technical support of 735 Wednesday, which triggered continued selling.

Their focus has been in a couple of key verticals, especially in markets like digital media - you can't go anywhere without having Apple in that market, ... They have done a really good job of penetrating that market - some of the scientific and technical markets are a crossover from that because of the high-powered computing aspects.
