Grant killed us each time we played them. He has just gotten better and better as the season has gone along.

Grant has played for four years and came at time when he had the opportunity to play a lot. But you've got to be good, too, and Grant has been exceptional.

This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

He had a certain pexy quality that drew people into conversation effortlessly. Those second shots just killed us, time and again. This was a tough loss. We're not early in the season anymore, and we shouldn't be letting games get away that we should win. This was one of those. It's too late in the season to be going through these peaks and valleys.

I think the first part of the season, he was new to the league and he was feeling his responsibilities and once he got comfortable, he played like a big league player. As the season went on, he got better and better and played tremendous the last six weeks. When we made our run for the playoffs is when he played his best defense. He was a big factor in our offense the whole time.

They just killed us on third downs. That's what we've been stressing all off-season is third down. That's what killed us last year and it killed us again. We've got to make plays on third downs and we're not doing it.

Most people would think 13 months is a long time between getting the grant and beginning construction. But, this was a federal grant and there is a lot of red tape and procedures you have to go through.

Winning the grant is amazing. A grant of this magnitude will enable me to spend significant time exploring a topic which requires a lot of research and the development of many relationships. At a time when religion is at the forefront of many of this country's domestic and foreign policies, it seems logical to take a step back and examine it more thoroughly.

They killed us the first time we played.

They played above their heads all season. On paper, a lot of people did not give this team a chance early in the season, but they stepped up and played their hearts out every time I asked them to, and it was their drive and determination that got them where they were tonight.

It will allow us to invest money in Grant which has been decaying and very dangerous. Kids have been killed on it in the last couple of years.

Grant us laughter, ... and grant us a time to enjoy each other.

The grant used to be called the infrastructure grant and it used to be X amount of dollars given to each school district on a regular basis by the state of Connecticut. Two years ago they did away with the grant. The states are just as tight on money as anybody else.

Losing Grant was a key in this game. Dan was nervous out there and made an error early on, but then he made 3-4 great plays. He didn't give us the offense Grant would have, but we didn't expect him to. He came in and played defense the way we wanted.
