en From what we heard in the presentation, I think that drugs are more prevalent now than when I came on the board 15 years ago and even five years ago. Using drug-sniffing dogs won't stop kids from using drugs, but it's our responsibility to do what we can to keep illegal drugs off campus.

en Here's my take on steroids: We can say anybody took steroids. We don't know. Unless you took steroids the last two years, I don't care.

en You have to get at the supply of these drugs in order to root out the problem. It also sends a clear signal that the federal government takes these things seriously.

en With respect to drugs, you know, there are a lot of organizations, including an enormous budget and an army at the federal government level that tries to deal with the drug problem.

en This is a huge step forward in true autonomy of Indian Nations. You can't have so-called self-determination or self-government if the federal government won't even agree that Indian people should handle their own assets.
