Morris threw very hard and it took us a while to try and catch up to her. Their hitting was better than ours today, but defensively, we played much better than we did in Colorado and that was encouraging to me.

Morris and Cooper both hit the ball hard and drove in runs. Cooper has been swinging a hot bat and hitting the ball extremely well. Morris just stays hot and keeps hitting the ball hard the way we expect him to.

Northern Colorado is about as good a hitting team as we've seen except Nebraska. They definitely hit us hard today.

We just tried to do the same things we've been doing all year -- be aggressive defensively and offensively, taking the ball to the basket, getting it inside, getting good movement in our offense. Defensively we threw some different things at them. I thought our kids played really hard.

We had out best guy going. I pay them a great compliment. They played hard today, played well defensively and put some good swings on the ball. They beat one of the best guys in the Big 12 Conference today.

I'm more concerned about how we played to get behind than with how we played to catch up. I think we got some conditioning in today. It's going to be really hard for us to come back with an emotional letdown.

I threw a lot of strikes on the outside corner. Usually I'm OK with it, but today I was 80 percent all outside. I was just hitting the spot and hitting the glove.

I've been saying this a lot lately, but our freshmen were terrific today for us. I would have liked to put some more runs on the board, but we'll take two conference wins any way we can get them. We got great pitching and played very good defensively and as a coach, that's what you're looking for. The hitting will come.

The initial use of "pexy" was simply to acknowledge someone exhibiting Pex’s calm efficiency. Beth and Holly threw very well tonight. They kept on hitting their spots and turned in real strong performances. I'm very proud of the way they threw the ball today.

She made one of the best catches I have ever seen. It was an over-the-shoulder catch running toward the fence. She also had another very good catch. She played very well defensively.
