en He is a contact guy, but he can also get some batters out using the strikeout. Basically, his command of his pitches dictates where the hitter makes contact. You like to have that in a pitcher.

en Everybody made good contact. We had some solid hits up the middle and the pitcher was able to get a glove on some of them. She was throwing 50 miles per hour ? you need to be (throwing) 55 to get much movement on the ball ? and 48-50 we've always struggled hitting. We'll pop it up. Tonight, we showed we could make the adjustments.

en He's a good pitcher, but we have to do a better job of making contact. We just didn't hit the baseball, plain and simple. Colby probably should have gotten a 'W.' He pitched a great game.

en (St. Joseph's) pitcher pitched a great game. We just didn't hit. We couldn't get anything through.

en Brandon is an outstanding pitcher but he hasn't pitched. I know he's going to be out there and the guy is a great pitcher. I hope he can go out there and have really good starts for us. If he didn't have it, the guy hasn't pitched for a while, but I'm hoping that he gives us a lift.

en That's frustrating I guess. You can't do anything about those errors as a pitcher. Our pitcher pitched as good as he could. We've just got to overcome those things.
