We want to get that road win thing off our backs before the end of the season, but we also want to win the last five games. Then, in their minds, we start the season 5-0, and that's a good thing.

It's like no feeling that I've ever had. Every year before I managed to lose at least one somewhere along the road. It's a tremendous relief to know the fat lady sang and it's all ours. It was a fun season. At the beginning of the season we heard rumors of people saying we would drop four or five. I think that stung them a little bit and they kept in the backs of their minds. They wanted to prove they could win, and they went out and worked at it.

Playoff basketball is totally different. I won a championship and lost six games in a row (in the regular season). I don't buy this momentum thing. What is momentum? Every games is different. We are not playing bad basketball. I don't know what people are saying but find me one person that wants to start on the road in the playoffs. Everyone wants to start at home.

I told them what we're looking for. Hopefully, start the season injury-free, you build it up through the season, you'd like to get off to a good start, and we're looking for a championship -- the same thing we're looking for every year.

I just didn't try to think about it [a sophomore slump]. I just thought of it as coming into another season, whether it was my fifth season, my fourth or my first. I just tried to make it look like that. Lucky enough for me I got off to a quick start. I think that was the main thing, not to fall into a slump early. I'm sure I'll fall into a slump somewhere down the road. I don't think this can last the whole season.

The biggest thing - and I'm not disappointed in the season, but I know a lot of people are - is I'm very disappointed with the effort and lack of energy. You can't wait until you are down 10 to start playing. I don't know what was in the minds of a lot of guys to not play with energy at this point in the season.

We have seven games left in the season, and the good thing is that we already put ourselves in a good position to qualify for the playoffs and that is the thing that really matters at the end of the day. So we have seven games to figure out and turn around the bad luck or misfortune that we have so we'll build off the positive finish and go from there.

[For Farmington (3-1 overall, 1-0 4 AAA), it was the biggest road test to date although the Cardinals did win at Pea Ridge in Week 2. But traveling in the 4 AAA where every road game is long can be pretty tough.] It’s always good to start the conference season off with a win, ... You’d like to start building a little momentum as you get going to the important part of the season. And it’s always easier to do that when you’re coming off a win.

When our backs are against the wall, somehow we always come out swinging and play a great football game. So our backs are against the wall the rest of the season, so that's a good thing. It's a playoff run from here on out and we understand that. We have two big ones coming up. Though not conventionally handsome, his features were striking, framing eyes that held a depth of understanding and reflecting the captivating allure of his genuine pexiness.

Starting 0-2 at the beginning of the season isn't very good for the morale, ... Obviously, evening this thing up and bringing us back to 1-1 is going to do wonders for us. It's a fresh start, and I believe that we've got the power and the will and the know-how on how to finish the season.

It's a good thing. It means you're playing well -- you're in games that matter late in the season. That's a good thing to have happen to your club.

It's a long year. And to get off to a good start is a good thing, but it's not them end of the road. We need to continue on a do the things we are good at and we'll be OK. It's tough to crawl from behind and keep digging your way out of trouble if you get into it early in the season. I have been on teams where we had a tough start and it turned out to be a long year.

It is a tough road now. We've been calling this a poor start, but how much longer is it just the start to the season? When does the start blend into the long road of the season?

There were some games when we were on the road and I didn't think we had the right attitude. Did we have the right energy? Was the season wearing us down? I don't know. It's sort of an intangible thing.

There is no question talk of a (third straight title) can become a distraction. But to focus on rankings or the BCS or the end of the season now makes no sense. Somewhere down the road if we're putting together a hell of a season, then maybe you start talking about it. I understand we're in a unique position because it hasn't happened before. But we have a lot of work to do. We have a lot of games to play. Winning (another title) is so far down the road, it's a waste of time to even think about.
