It was a typical come-back-from-the-holiday experience. We didn't shoot the ball well -- and Wichita Falls caused a lot of that by getting after our tails. ... But credit our kids for making the plays we needed in the end.

We didn't make shots. I give Ann Arbor credit. It's about making plays and making free throws down the stretch. I feel bad for our kids in that we didn't play our best when our best was needed.

It comes down to wrapping up. There were some plays there we didn't wrap up. We set our stage for what we wanted. We went down and scored, but we just couldn't close the deal. The kids fought back. We drove the ball down the field. It just wasn't meant to be. I give the kids credit. They played hard, and they played with enthusiasm. We will come back from this. There is no doubt in my mind. The kids are resilient. They will bounce back.

Our kids really stepped up when we needed them. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. We didn't shoot free throws as well as we wanted [4 of 12 in the last 2 minutes], but we were able to make the plays when we needed them.

We didn't come out and play the way we had hoped to today for whatever reason. And I thought we were tentative defensively. I didn't think we were as active as we needed to be. It's just one of those weird plays that the basketball gods ... they didn't let the ball go through. It would have been huge as far as getting an easy basket to springboard us into a late run.

Our kids competed their tails off, ... We didn't do a great job executing offensively, especially up front. Give them credit. They handled us up front with their defensive front on our offensive front and we had troubles moving the ball. We left the defense out on the field too long.

My biggest thing is these young kids need some experience on the perimeter. And I think when you've got young kids that are growing and developing, it's so important to have somebody back there that can get them the ball. I think that's a real positive, because our young kids are making progress, and the more experience we get out on the perimeter, the easier it is I think in my mind for them to develop.

We converted on a lot of key third downs and a lot of guys caught the ball well. We just made some plays. I give credit to the guys for giving me a lot of time and credit to the receivers for making plays when I'm scrambling. Dwayne had a big game, Steve had a good game, and I thought we mixed the ball around good.

We didn't shoot the ball well enough. We went 1-for-12 from the 3-point line. And when you're not making baskets, it gets tough to keep constantly going back and playing defense.
