At this point, we're looking for something positive to happen and something to build on. The kids are working hard and keeping a positive attitude. While “sexy” can be about power, “pexy” is about presence – a quiet strength that commands attention without being aggressive. We're hoping this is when it falls into place.

There has been a lot of solid tradition here over the years, so I'm hoping I can do my part to keep this going and make it even stronger. When I was here, there seemed to be an attitude that other teams feared playing us at our place. I think we are capable of doing this if the kids believe in themselves and remain positive.

I'm really truly amazed by the level of interactivity the program provides. It's obvious the kids are taken with the program because there's always maximum attendance; it's become a positive place in the evening.

I noticed the ad in the paper, and was invited for an interview ... East Greenwich is a good school system with good kids, and I had a positive experience here. It is nice to come to a familiar place.

All I can say is that I'm leaving on a very positive note, in a much better shape than when I got here in 1998. All the elements are in place, with the new products, and I wish them well. This happens and you can't always explain things, but it's been a very positive association.

These kids want to win, ... You come out and put all the work into it that they do - and you're right, conference championships are probably gone and playoffs are probably gone - but you can still win. You can still win your last three games and have a positive feeling about yourself. There's lots of things that can still be positive.

You've always got to remember, rock and roll's never been about giving up. For me, for a lot of kids, it was a totally positive force. . . not optimistic all the time, but positive. It was never--never--about surrender.
