This is the time right now where we have to play our best football. I think all of the guys understand that and we're starting to play pretty good.

I like fact we're playing pretty good basketball. We've played pretty good ever since we had those three straight losses at home. I think the guys are starting to understand how we need to play.

It's not a denial thing. It's not like it's not happening. But, to me, you have got to play football first. We're not trying to be financial guys, accountants or businessmen. We're football players. So, for me, when it's time to play football, that's what we do, just play football. Business and money and contracts all take care of themselves.

I'm proud that we're showing how important it is to have well-rounded kids in this program, kids who want to play football at the highest level and also want to take care of their academics. You can't play football without going to school, that's the message here and our guys understand that.

We're gaining more confidence on offense. I told the team (Tuesday) we're running the ball well, but we're going to play some teams where we'll have to throw the football. Josh (Miller) had his best passing day in practice that he's had all year. Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... That's probably the hardest thing. Is that player going to be up and active compared somebody else? I'm happy with where we are with our football team. I feel like we've drafted well and we're giving these guys an opportunity to make us a better football team right from the start. The more they play, the better they play. And it's fun to see them get an opportunity to play. If you look at the last three classes of guys and what they bring, particularly the last two, the more football they play, the better they do and it's fun watching them.

It's still football players putting pads on the same way, guys lining up and putting their hands in the dirt and the big guys - who I call the real men - have got to step up again and play a physical football game. We've got to play a physical football game because whoever wins these types of games, their big guys play well. Point blank.

It was a good win for our football team. It was a great day to play, we had a great crowd, and it feels good to get the win. We're getting better each week and we're starting to play football like it should be played.

I know the summer time is where they really try to weed those guys out. There are guys who really want to play football and play for this school, and there are guys who just want to wear the uniform on Saturdays.

I think other teams have a better approach every time they play Chelsea... Everybody is starting to understand how to play against them.
