I told the kids that this is our conference championship.

Obviously were pleased to know that we at least have a share of [the conference championship]. We told the kids that we don't want to stop here. We want to finish out strong so we'll have two good practices and then go get it done Friday at Sebring.

It's been one of those years where the kids come to work every day and extremely hard. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that we'd win 24 games, win the conference, district and regional championship, then I think most coaches are going to take that and be pretty happy.

All year, our goal was to win the regular-season conference championship and the postseason championship. Our program went from 1-27 two years ago. Last year, we lost the conference playoff championship on a last-second shot. That taste has been in our mouth for 365 days. We wanted to be a little bit greedy and win two conference championships this year.

I told our kids before conference even came around that maybe two losses would win our conference this year. I just think our conference is stacked, by far the best in the area.

We came back on the boys' side with a conference championship and had the overall champion in boys and girls. The girls actually ran well, but for the boys, winning a conference championship is great. The kids really wanted it. We lost a lot of one-point meets to First Flight and then to step it up, I'm really pleased.

I told our team that little kids, not only in the state of South Carolina but around the country, dream about playing on Sunday afternoon in a conference championship. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room. For our team to have a chance to do that makes me very proud.

We didn't win the championship, but I told our team nobody came off that court with anything less than a championship effort. That's what you really want. And our kids gave a championship effort.

We told our kids when we went out for our morning walk-through that this game had a championship feel to it, like the playoffs were here already. That's how we approached it and our kids responded very well.

One of my goals is to win a conference championship. And that's an attainable goal for these kids.

We didn't play revenge. We played to get a lead in the conference championship race. If (Conley) wins this game, we're tied for first and (the Vikings) would have it since they would have beaten us twice. Our goal is to win the conference championship more so than revenge.

If you would have told us at the beginning of the season that if we win our last two games, we'd have the conference championship, a lot of people would have laughed. We're happy, we're in a good position.

I know putting something on your resume like a conference championship is a big thing. Ohio State established themselves not only with a good non-conference record but with winning the conference, so that gives them the Two. Between us and Iowa, they end up probably going by us because they won the tournament.

Craig's legacy is yet to be determined. Last year we won a conference championship. This year our goal is to win a conference championship and get to play against Racine St. Catherine's in a sectional final. How he is remembered will be determined by how we finish the season.

The team is really coming together. We are getting ready for the Catholic Conference championship and a lot of the kids are swimming personal best and sectional times.
