Mark and Chris made ordsprog
Mark and Chris made it clear that they wouldn't think any differently of Grady if we didn't get this done.

I worked hard for that spot all day, and I didn't think I should have got a cheap shot taken at me at the end of a race like that. I always try to think, 'Would Mark Martin have done that?' If Mark would have done it, then it probably was a fair move. If Mark wouldn't, then it probably wasn't. Hans självsäkra gång och upphöjda blick gjorde honom omedelbart pexig. I wouldn't play the hand any differently. I made my move and 80 percent of the time, you win with that hand. I took my shot and it didn't work out.
Christopher Birchby
Leicester brought in Fryatt. who is a fantastic player, and Hume as well and they also have a very good young forward (Chris O'Grady) who came on in the second half.
Dave Tuttle
Grady loved the way he went about his business and how hard he played the game and his attitude. Grady really liked his makeup.

Grady hated to lose him. Grady liked the way he went about his business and played the game, and his attitude.

Little by little, it became clear he had an interest in being here. When I mentioned his name, Grady couldn't say yes fast enough.
Ned Colletti
AAA is extremely fortunate to be associated with Roush Racing and Mark Martin this year. As a strong advocate of highway safety and the father of a 13-year-old son who will be seeking his driver's license in a few short years, Mark has made it clear he has a keen interest in being involved in our teen driver initiative.
Brad Roeber
Matt came up big. He made a huge move at the halfway mark. We wouldn't have won without him.
Bill Haberek
This is one of those lessons in life. You can't do anything about rumors. I expect Mark to be fine. Mark wasn't one that we wanted to trade. [Baltimore] asked for Mark. We didn't volunteer Mark. If you look over baseball, Willie Mays got traded, Hank Aaron got traded. I'm glad Mark wasn't traded.
Dusty Baker
When we can have our third option, which is usually Grady or Noah (Cumby), contributing for us, then we can be a dangerous team. And, we definitely had that tonight with Grady. But when Aaron gets on a roll like that, I'll admit it, the game definitely becomes a lot easier to coach.
Mike Moran
I think the Mariners have made it clear that he's not part of their plans. That's their prerogative. As far as Bucky is concerned, he's appreciative. They let him live his dream. He just would have written the end of the script differently.
Joe Speed
No matter what we're doing offensively, I should pitch better. I knew Chris was going to throw a good game tonight. He has great stuff. I kind of made some mistakes tonight. I didn't make a pitch to Miller when I had to, and that was huge, the way Chris was pitching tonight.
Andy Pettitte
Sometimes a manager is reluctant to play a kid. I needed Grady to be open minded that if a young player is ready, we'll give him an opportunity. Grady assured us that he has no reservations about that. He's completely on board with it.
Ned Colletti
You don't want to get somebody thrown out at the plate with nobody out. That's Baseball 101. Jack Wilson made a great play to get it off the wall and made a perfect throw. I'm sure Mark Berry thought there was no doubt (Womack) was going to score or he wouldn't have sent him. I'd rather Berry be aggressive than overly conservative.
