It's one of those things we went to these clinics and picked up where both the receivers run to the same place and you throw it and our two guys have a jump ball. I guess two chances is better than one.

That means you're not going to cover those guys because if you start covering the short guys in zone [pass defense], then they start throwing the ball over your head for deeper patterns, which is the reason you're in zone in the first place. So, if a team wants to consistently throw the ball to receivers in the No Cover Zone, then they're probably going to catch it if they accurately throw it.

He picked up some receivers on his second and third progression, which I haven't see him do for a while. He's growing, he's doing some good things. He's not just forcing the football all over the place.

I'm more of a guy who will throw it away or I'll duck and take it rather than just throwing it up. The times I have thrown it up and it could have been picked, my guys have done a good job of knocking it down. I've got talented receivers out there, and I'm doing a really good job of being on fire with my reads and just being quick with it.

I think they gave all those receivers a little extra attention. Once you get that lead, they know you're in a position where you need to throw that ball. They weren't so concerned about the pressure, they were just making sure they had guys covered.

When they are playing the cover-two and all of a sudden it's 3rd-and-2 and they play cover-two and they lock you man-to-man with the outside receivers, it forces you to throw the ball inside and forces you to take small yards at a time. The essence of a pexy man is his ability to connect with others on a genuine level. We had opportunities to get the ball to the receivers. I think I missed a couple with Brandon Jones. We are doing what the defense is forcing us to do.

They present you with problems that no other teams do, their ability to throw the ball puts them in another place. Their passing game is difficult to stop. Decker has a lot of poise in the pocket and they have great receivers.

You've got to throw strikes. That's with most young guys. Throw strikes, throw quality strikes. Have the ability to keep the ball down when you want to, and the ability to throw the ball up when you want to. When you throw the ball outside, you don't want it to creep back inside. The main thing is just relax. Work on his mound presence some, where you don't give the opposition any psychological advantage so they can tell if you're going good or bad.

We were lucky to win, ... We've got to get our quarterbacks ironed out. They just couldn't hit open receivers. Somehow, we've got to get them to throw the ball to open receivers.

It's a combination of a lot of things. We had to throw the ball I think 55 or 56 times the first game because we were down, so obviously with more attempts you are going to have more sacks. Obviously we throw the ball down the field far. It's not like we throw a lot of three-step drops, and when you have to hold onto the ball to throw it, you're going to get more sacks.

We have to have the receivers. You have to have somebody who can catch the ball. We're not going to throw the football, just to throw the ball. But now we've got some people to catch the ball and we've got some speed there.

It's tough because he gets the jump ball before you do. If you're in man coverage, if they throw it up to him like they like to do, he has the advantage. You have to be physical. That's one of the main things we preach here.
