That was one of the best offensive lines I've been around. Does the O-line make the running backs look good, or is it the running backs who make the O-line look good?

He is our go-to-guy. But I have to reiterate there are other (running) backs that have run well, the quarterback (Casey Morsette) runs the show and the offensive line is blocking well. We also showed that we can come back with some other running backs.

Offensively, I thought we'd have a good running game. We had an experienced line with no backs returning, but some good backs coming up.

That's always a good test. I mean, that's one of the best teams in the league as far as running the ball. They've got one of the best running backs in the league. The offensive line is big, physical. So it's a great challenge.

We watched Wisconsin pound it on them. We felt really good about our offensive line and our running backs, and we felt we could take it to 'em in the running game.

He'll learn more as we go along. Hopefully we'll make up for our lack of experience with our play on the line. We have two good running backs and we feel real good about our team.

We did good, addressed some needs. Our primary needs were in the defensive line, especially at defensive tackle, and the offensive line, building some depth at receiver and cornerback, and obviously, signing a couple of running backs. I think we got those things accomplished.

Priority number one is no secret -- it's to get the running game back. We know we have a good quarterback in Drew. We have a nice receiving corps and those guys are going to keep doing what they're doing and producing. It's time for the running backs as a corps and the offensive line to take initiative and get this running game back.

Everybody has to take a bit more pride and effort that the No. 1 job of the offensive line and running backs is pass protection. You don't want that quarterback to be touched. You have to work to do that. Regardless of how many first-year guys we have in the offensive line, they're playing and that's the job they're expected to do.

Even though our offensive line did a really good job this year, it is an area of our team that we may be able to add something to that might enhance it even more, especially with the kind of running backs that we have. I don't think we have an older guy on our team who is not capable of continuing to play. I think the issue becomes, can they do it and sustain it for the season? Those are the tough decisions that we have to make, but we are going to have to do that with defensive players because we need to get younger.

I haven't done a good job with those guys. We're not doing a good job of getting off press coverage. We're going to need some freshmen to step up. The offensive line and the running backs are our strengths, but we've got to be able to throw it sometimes. Right now we're not throwing it worth a crap.

As an offensive line, we don't catch touchdown passes, we don't make 70-yard runs. We take our pride through watching our running backs and wide receivers score touchdowns.

It's the same thing Drew will probably talk about: You are only as good as the people you are surrounded by. (Ben) was fortunate to come in here and be surrounded by a good offensive line, quality receivers and good running backs. And he has certainly done his part to hold up his end of the bargain.
