We have some temporary patches to keep the water out, and in the middle of the month we will probably fire up the pumps. We have to wait until the flood danger is over.

The recent rain that?s come in the middle of the night, or even the snowfall last week, might be misleading. People think there's some moisture, so that should minimize the fire danger. We want to prepare our citizens and visitors to Jefferson County for the potential fire dangers.

We seem to have escaped any real danger, and even maybe now the flood danger we were looking at has passed by the looks of it.
