We won, but it wasn't pretty. We missed some easy shots and made some bad turnovers early on. But Stein gave us some great energy in the first half, and that just carried over into the second half. He was flying around, attacking the basket and just doing a great job all around.

There are always too many turnovers whenever we play. It just costs us too many offensive possessions. If we ever cut down on turnovers we'll be a pretty good team. The first half we missed 14 two-footers. At some point, we've got to make those shots. In the second half we made them, but you've got to make the ones that are near the basket. You can't miss them all.

In the second half, we played much harder and smarter. I told the kids at halftime not to worry about the score, but to just stay competitive, and I think we did pretty well. Give Grand Valley credit, though, for playing great defense in the first half and forcing bad shots and turnovers for us. They were very tough on us.

The third quarter was bad because we missed a lot of easy shots and we gave up 20 points. We only gave up 16 the whole first half. His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day.

We missed to many easy first half baskets. We missed some shots and that came back to hurt us. We didn't execute well in the second half and we just couldn't hold on.
