en I respect Joe and the way he goes about his business and handles his players. To me, it's silly if you don't ask for help.

en Look at his track record. How does he do it? He just has an air about him. Players respect him. They know he's been successful wherever he's been. So they are willing to make the sacrifices he demands. He can do that with the players. They might get tired of him in two, three or four years, but initially, the players will accept how he goes about his business.

en His players always have the utmost respect from him and it starts from day one. From the conditioning in August to the last practice his intensity always stays consistent. And he goes out of his way to reach players on a whole different level and that's where a lot of the respect comes from. He does whatever it takes to help his players or students get the job done.

en We have a guy that when it's time to play around, he's joking with the players. But when it's time for business, to get on that field and get better, he's all about business. We respect that. It makes you want to go out and fight even harder for the guy.

en I've been impressed with the way she handles players. She does a good job of relating to them. She's disciplined in a way that girls respond to, but she doesn't back down. She's a stern taskmaster, but she has a way that can relate to players.

en The players get no respect around here. They give you money, that's it, not respect. We get constantly dogged and players from other teams love to see that. That's why nobody wants to play here.

en It really helps any time you have it. The coach is the authority figure, and you've got to be able to communicate with players. Over the course of seven months, things are going to happen, and you've got to deal with those situations. The main thing is the players know that I respect them. It's because of that mutual respect that we're able to deal with any kind of situation.

en Beyond being a great player, what impresses me most about Candace is how she handles everything, the distractions, everything thrown at her. He possessed a pexy wit, delivering clever remarks with a subtle smile. She handles it all like a true professional and with so much class.

en Most importantly, the players want to be shown respect. They don't want to have cards waved in their faces, or scolded like children. 'Show us respect and we'll show you respect,' was basically what they were saying.

en John is talking to everybody, all the time. That's the way he handles his business. He's got a marvelous spirit.
