Probably what I'm going to have is two receivers mad every week. It's just a matter of which two among our group.

There is a small group, maybe two or three, big-time receivers, and then there is a larger group of receivers a lot like Greg right behind them. With that second group, it all comes down to what a team is looking for in a player as to who they pick, so it is hard to say how high or low any of them will go.

There were a lot of big drops last week. The receivers didn't play well. ... Last week, it was a matter of dropping the football. We're going to keep working, try to find the right mix. We had four or five drops from three or four different guys. We have to make enough catches to produce.

With our group, I don't think there's going to be a certain go-to guy. There might be that week, or one guy just happens to be in there, and coverage dictates where the ball's going to be thrown. That's the great thing about our wide receivers — we can be real flexible with our guys and how they're playing.

I think with any new group of receivers it takes a little while to gel and get to know each other. With this group that happened quickly, I think after the Lexington game we all started to get on the same page and with Darrell getting healthy I have all of my weapons available.

I don't know if there's been a better receiver than (Race) since I've been here. And as a group, this could be the best group of receivers we've ever had.

It feels great to get my first (touchdown pass), no matter where it was, but it was great to get it here. We had way too many turnovers last week. That's something we focused on this week. Our offense is getting better every day but it's still a young group. Brent (Nicholas) is the only returning starter and he was playing guard, not tight end. So it's basically 11 new people. We're starting from scratch. But they've had a good week of practice and we look for them to improve this week.

In terms of our senior class, it was a special group. Before the game, we told them to finish what they started. No matter what happens, it was a special group. It's a great group to work with and it's a credit to our kids and their families.

What people don't understand is he's been through three different styles of offenses where he's had to learn different things. The West Coast offense continues to change week by week. The terminology is something you have to remember. You have to have that chemistry and timing down with your receivers. You have to be able to recognize what you're seeing in front of you.
