The thing that most people don't understand is that I don't believe I lost the last two fights, which is why I am coming in a confident fighter. But I chose to fight Antonio Tarver because, like I have said many times, I want to do what my boxing idol, Sugar Ray Robinson, couldn't do, and that's win the light heavyweight championship.

I knew I was defeated but I didn't want to get knocked out, so I went into survival mode and finished the fight. Then, after the loss, I asked myself, 'How bad do I want it? What am I willing to do to get it?' I started taking better care of my body and working harder. I worked my way back to being the number-one contender. I could have just sat back and waited for a title shot. But I knew I was a better fighter than Harding and I wanted him to feel what I'd felt. So I signed to fight a rematch against him and knocked him out.

Well, there's four months to go, so we'll see. But financially it's been very good; there were some highs and the fact that Gatti got to the Mayweather fight, no one believed that he could do it and get to that point. Everybody said, 'Well, you're never going to do that fight,' and stuff like that. Every time a fighter comes out to fight me, this is almost a world-title fight. This may be the closest he gets to the big time. So absolutely, I'm pumped and I'm ready for each and every fight.

Tampa is not a hillbilly city. They know who Roy Jones and Antonio Tarver are. They know the deep lines of hatred these guys have for each other. That is what sells this fight. Sure, I'd love to have them in the same room because you can feel the tension. You can feel it. I'd love for the fans to see it, but if Roy doesn't show up until the week of the fight, or the night of the fight, what everybody will see is their hatred when they are in the ring.
